What it means for Atlassian and SailPoint Users

For organizations currently using Atlassian’s Jira Service Desk in their IT departments along with SailPoint solutions, the integration provides the ability to view provisioning requests within the Jira platform. The SailPoint integration allows for an automatically generated Jira Service Desk ticket containing a provisioning request created by the user. This request is automatically populated by SailPoint in the Jira platform where it can be managed by the user. Updates to the Service Desk ticket will also apply to the provisioning request, giving the user a single reference point for the entire lifecycle of a ticket.

As a SailPoint integration partner, Column leverages Atlassian’s Jira Service Desk platform with SailPoint’s IdentityIQ solution to create a single instance. With this integration tool, SailPoint user provisioning requests are created in the Atlassian platform, eliminating the need for two separate platforms.
