The Business Challenge
Extending the BMC Remedy messaging capabilities requires customizations. The Tribune Message Management solution extends the BMC Remedy Notification Engine with an easy-to-use, data-driven interface.
Extending Notifications
Tribune enhances the BMC Remedy Notifications to include additional messaging protocols and mediums such as e-mail, instant messaging (Yahoo, MSN Messenger), voice (multiple devices per recipient such as home and mobile phone), and SMS and wireless devices such as PDAs, smartphones, and BlackBerry devices.
Message Management
Through the intuitive Tribune Console, users can easily configure vital associations needed for robust messaging. All configurations can be made through the Remedy Mid Tier or the Remedy client. Self-service message configuration augments the intelligent delivery system with personal preferences. Once configured, users can subscribe or unsubscribe to notification services using keywords, set ‘Out of Office’ and select other recipients during unavailable periods. This capability reduces the administrator's configuration burden.
Message Content
Users can configure message content using the Tribune Console, and add field data using a point-and-click interface.
Text-to-Voice
Microsoft SAM or a similar open-source technology make text-to-voice translations possible.
Two-way Messaging
With two-way messaging, recipients can respond to system alerts over a wireless device. If they have a web-enabled mobile device, they can also update, submit, and interact with the ticket.
Supported Messaging Media
Tribune supports SMS and text, voice, e-mail, wireless solutions, and paging.
Security and Governance
Tribune configuration, events, and notifications are secure and audited via the Tribune Audit Logs. Message generation and delivery activities are formatted for report generation and easy extraction.
Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Solutions
Column Technologies' software-as-a-service (SaaS) option limits installation, maintenance, and staffing costs while eliminating the hassles of upgrades, backups, and management challenges. SaaS-enabled reside on Column Technologies’ servers, and users access them through secure Internet connections.
