About BMC CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager 6.4: Scheduling - Part 3

This course is designed for CONTROL-M users who have some experience with the product, and particularly are familiar with the process of creating basic job processing definitions and monitoring the environment. The class is designed for students who have completed the BMC CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager 6.4: Scheduling – Part 2 class, who need more advanced enterprise production management skills. The topics go into greater depth in areas such as control modules, AutoEdit variables, utilities, shouts, Node Groups, job post-processing, resources, reporting, and New Day Processing.

In many production environments, certain users will eventually assume a coordinating or management role that requires advanced skills, and these types of skills are the focus of this course. Many of the resources that are established in the production environment are shared by all schedulers, and therefore needs arise for coordinating actions by someone very familiar with the functionality of the product. Examples of such functions that are covered in this class include: managing ViewPoints and their associated components; managing CONTROL-M components such as gateways to ensure that they are up and functioning properly; deleting old alerts; ensuring that statistics are being compiled; administering and updating security privileges; security auditing; creating and changing Shout Destination tables; load balancing; and managing calendars.

Hands-on labs allow the participants to experience and experiment with the concepts presented in the class.
